Impressive finca on the sunny Malaga´s coast – a former Stewart Granger´s home
Located only 3.5 km inland from the beautiful fishermen town of Estepona and its fantastic beaches, situated on an extensive 65-hectare plot in the valley defined with two local rivers El Castor and El Velerin, this beautiful and unique estate “Cortijo San Francisco” indulges with impressive panoramic views to the mountains, gardens and natural landscape. The name of the Cortijo comes from the good relationship between the owner, Stewart Granger and his gardener Francisco.
It all began in 1950, when during one of his trips to Marbella the actor fell in love with this unique area that reminded him so much of the landscape of his best film ‘The Mines of King Salomon’ shot in Kenya. The main house was designed by the architect Manuel Camisuli, who merged different cultures from the favourite Stewart Granger´s countries, and introduced many decoration items that the actor bought in multiple places where the production of his films used to take place.
At the very first sight the estate represents the Andalusian style villa with a beautiful interior patio with architectural influences from Cordoba, which communicates with all the living areas. The property consists of seven en-suite bedrooms and an additional en-suite bedroom located on the outside, living room and dining room and impressive kitchen with pantry room.

The interior walls are painted white and both: the floor and the walls of the bathrooms are finished in clay tiles with painted in Arabic motifs. The bedroom closet doors come from Syria and are decorated and carved in oriental style. The ceiling in the living room, the dining room and the pool area finished with bamboo witch gives Caribbean atmosphere. The main living room contains a central Venetian marble table and a carved and painted Mexican-style fireplace, leading to the upper floor where the master bedroom is located.

Outside there is a swimming pool, surrounded by Roman columns painted in white, a Jacuzzi and a sauna. This estate also has its own heliport and an authentic exterior bread oven built in 1910.
